Behind the Magic Transformation Before and After Makeover #8
Toni came to me as a retail client in my store, and we hit it off immediately. In fact I did her makeover on the spot.
She said she’d always hated her curls and never knew what do do about having them other than telling her stylist to give her a cut to weigh them down.
I loved Toni’s energy and saw she was hiding her natural beauty under a barrel—mainly I think because no one had shown her how to bring it out. She was ready when I challenged her to try my simple ideas to show off her looks. After agreeing she’d try my cut for curl, I razored her hair shorter to open up and show her beautiful face. Next I smoothed out the skin on her face with rose cream and applied a small amount of foundation through the center of it-under her eyes and down the sides of her nose and out to her hairline in an oval shape. I shaped and darkened her brows and put light reflecting concealer under her eyes to deal with the dark circles—also some concealer from the side of her nose to the corner of her mouth. The haircut softened her brow and emphasized her hazel eyes that had been . Soft pink lip and some volume mascara and voila! What a great razor cut and dr Hauschka makeup artist can do for a beauty like this.
A makeover doesn’t have to take all day—though I love to get my hands on the whole picture Really. This all happened impromptu in the time her husband was waiting. .
In Toni’s case I wouldn’t change her gorgeous hair color, I love her natural hair type, and what a face!
